Hi folks,
Just mulling over some future projects. I am looking to do some Canadian subjects.
Was the vehicle in this kit used by Candians in WW2?? I know its an older kit and will need work and decals but its got me interested.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jeff,
It looks like the same but it doesn't !!!!
At the beginning of the War Canadian forces try some British Daimler Scout car but the vehicle was a 2wheels drive . Canadians were looking for a 4 wheel drive. So they develloped their own vehicle based on the Brit Scout car : The Lynx II .
I've got aother information about the Brit Dingo. If you need them drop me mail.
BTW here's my Dingo . I wrote a feature for a amagazine about it : http://maquettegarden.free.fr/IMAGES/Maquettes/goodwood/gkgal.htm

Nice to see this kit out there, I didn't know much about it until I saw it for clearance for $2 at my LHS. Picked it up as I thought it was a pretty cool kit and I my first British vehicle.

I just started working on one I got off of eBay for $5. I built one a long time ago and thought I'd give one another go.

The Canadians did use Dingos at Dieppe and I think (Not 100% sure) in Northwest Europe 44-45.
I just built the Tamiya kit in it's desert option for the Spahwagen Abteilung! campaign
(Where's my ribbon?) and I really enjoyed it. The kit responds well to extra work and I picked up another one to do as a Polish vehicle in 44.
Maquette do a kit of an earlier version that has no interior and must be built with the roof closed
It's expensive at 47.67Euro http://jadarhobby.home.pl/bigimages/maquette/mq-3555.jpg

Thanks for the replys.
Well after doing some of my own digging it looks like Canadians did use them in NW Europe. However I am still not sure if the Tamiya kit will represent them.
I guess I need to do some more shovel work.
