Hello All,
There was a lot of discussion about this campaign, both in this forum and another in the sci-fi forum. I decided to rewrite the campaign proposal to encompass as many ideas as possible in one area.
So here it is…
The Campaign:
Rockets, Missiles and Spacecraft – 2006 (RMS-06)
Dates:
April 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006
Operational Overview:
Rockets and Missiles have been in use in warfare since the Chinese used them around 1100 AD. Recent major uses include both military and civilian (think Cruise Missiles in the Gulf and Weather Satellites for Hurricanes). And of course, the rocketship has been the backbone of sci-fi for the last 100 years. As much as Rockets and Missiles are a large part of our everyday life they are under represented in modeling. This campaign allows everyone a chance to showcase what’s out there!
Rules/Scope:
Build a Rocket, Missile or Spacecraft (or all three) by itself, on a launcher, or any other way you can think to present it. Rocket or missile as secondary weapon OK (example: Sherman w/ turret roof rockets). Early history to WW2 to present to the future (including sci-fi), both Military and Civilian. OOB, conversions or scratch builds OK. Single model, diorama and/ or vignettes OK. Any Scale OK.
Some examples - V1 or the Space Shuttle. The new SA-6 or the old Gemini Capsule. Humvee w/ TOW or a Nebelwurfer. MIR Space Station or the Star War’s Death Star. It’s all good.
Submissions: Two photos of build in progress and two photos of each finished product.
Campaign Ribbon to all who finish. Multiple entries are OK (only one ribbon though).
Hope that clears up everything - LOL

Hi
This would be my first campaign model, how does a landrover, landcruiser , gaz66 or uaz469 mounting rocket launchers taken from mig fighter aircraft sound. Somali and Afghan militias have carried out these conversions.
