Hey Guys
Just finished adding Eduard PE parts and priming it before painting. I will give it a OD for the base coat.
Here are some of the pics I took.
The rest could be fond here: http://groups.msn.com/armorama/tamiyam26pershinginprogress.msnw?Page=1

Steve--you have to be one busy guy! The Eduard PE is really nice. The .50 is great. Nice work, publish more pictures.

Looking very nice Steve. How are the Tamiya rubber band tracks in this kit? They look to be descent.
Which Eduard set did you use, #35100 or 35503?
...I really like the pose on top of the Marder.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your comments. As the Pershing is not yet finished, I will post more pics of the progress.
General Kencelot:
The rubber tracks is not bad at all. It just fits it. I'm not sure if there is any sag thing for the US Tanks during WWII.

Steve--The Pershing looks great, but I especially like the box it's sitting on (the new Tamiya Marder IIIM)
Is the belt of ammo for the .50 cal PE? It looks pretty cool. Though I can't tell what's PE and what's not (very clean job, by the way, Steve), I can tell the Pershing is another top notch Tamiya product.

Hi Nic,
The ammo is from Eduard PE parts too. I just lift it up a little bit for easy painting.
Yep the box art for the Marder IIIM is great, have you got it?

She's looking good Steve! If you and Dave actually do make it to the DC area to visit you will get to see a real of of these babies. They are massive in person!

Beautifully built Steve.
Nice clean PE attachments and primer coat.
My only recommendations are to add the telephone cord for the phone and too coil your own springs for the loaders hatch,
Can't wait to see it painted,

Oberst,
Thanks for your comments and recommendations for adding coil springs on the hatches. I just missed that part. I will try to find some coil springs for the hatches.

excellent
I find the best way to make springs is to coil picture hanging wire around a small drill bit. It does not take too long, just coil the wire tightly and close together for maximum authenticity

Very nice.
I take it that the Pershing you are building is of the Korean War vintage and not WWII. For WWII you need to leave off the braces on the rear fenders and the infantry phone box also needs to go. On the WWII model there were no braces and the phone box was on the fender. Tamiya used a Korea vintage Pershing for their prototype.

Nice M26 Pershing
you should make it into a diarama and have a soldier talking on the phone to the crew commander in the tank
