Looks very nice
is that the way the groundplates at the bottom look like
I don`t know anything about the tank. I only made a tiger with interior and there were the groundplates neat next to each other.
Maybe it`s supposed to be like that I really don`t know. If you can tell me that.
again looks very good

Rob--impressive. Is the outer paint covering a blend or did you use a Master Modelers brand item? The tint is really nice. Nice job on the floor boards.

She's looking great thus far Rob! One of my favorites of the TDs.
I like the color you chose.
Which kit is it AFV's or Academy's?

Okay, first, Rob, yes the treadplates seem to have been designed rather helter-skelter, but that is how they come. DJ, I used Model Master Olive Drab FS34087 overall and MM acrylic faded OD for highlight. And Ken, it is AFV's offering and will have modelkasten tracks, which are almost done. Just need to weather them before putting them on.

Hi Rob, look's good so far !!!!!!!!!!!!! - I just airbrushed the base coat
on my M18 ( Academy ). I used the Verlinden Exterior accessory kit
which included resin & photo-etch. However I did not care for the rear
armor tail plate that came with the Verlinden set, & since the Academy 's rear sponson
& tail plate are somewhat incorrectly molded, I reworked the both of these to correct
shape. Today I'm going to airbrush the star's & circles on with a stencil's and
hopefully have time to airbrush a faded panel coat on.. I still have a ways to go.
I built and painted mine in sub- assemblies ......How about you ?
..........are you going to use a TD crew ?
I's really like to see your TD when completely finished.

I also did mine in sub-assemblies, though I focused on just the hull, turret, and tracks. I used Modelkasten, and am pretty pleased with them. I didn't use verlinden because they are for the Academt kit and mine is AFV's offering, Academy's is oversized and AFV's is undersized, from what I understand, so I hear Verlindens accessories don't cross over very well. I have a bunch of accessories in my parts box, so I will just use whatever I can find.
I'm planning on putting it on the back of a Dragon Wagon when I am done. I am not very good at figures yet, so there won't be a crew (I think). If I do a crew at all it will just be the ones that come with the DW since no one else ever does them.
As far as the interior goes, I think it looks good on a computer screen, but looks better in person. Ask SgtSauer, he's seen it. I am not trying to brag, but I think it turned extra good in spite of me, so I am proud of it. Won't be long now till it's finished.

I also did mine in sub-assemblies,
- I think that's the best way to go about it. ........work's for us !
I used Modelkasten, and am pretty pleased with them.
- I heard some good reviews's on their tracks. I used Fruil, and I was also very satisfied with the overall quality of their tracks, and they look great when painted & weathered and
the white metal really gives some weight to the TD.
Academy's is oversized and AFV's is undersized, from what I understand,
- I havent seen AFV's kit up-close/in-person....." but here's a surprise for you " : I bought Warriors TD Crew and they actually make the Academy M18 seem undersized when
I tried a temporary fit to adjust the pose's on the figures. Especially when it comes to the
.50 cal. ring mount and the tight fit of the TD Commander
so I hear Verlindens accessories don't cross over very well.
- Actually I like Verlinden accessory kit's and it was just that one piece. Everything else
fit perfect.. I have alot of Verlinden access. kit's for armor in my spares draw, but then I also have other's as well ...........For the record, we have to thank Francis Verlinden for the introduction of "resin " into scale modeling. In my opinion it's just some of their figure
equipment ( pistol's, rifles, entrenching tool's ) that seem's to be a bit overscale for 1/35.
I'm planning on putting it on the back of a Dragon Wagon when I am done.
- Nice idea ! I really think that will look good . Look forward to seeing that !
I am not very good at figures yet
- You'll find your way, I'm sure. ..............I really like painting figures, they really bring
an added sense of realism & human emotion to a diorama.

- I know exactly what you mean and I believe you. I feel the same as when I see pic's of
my model's. They just don't look as good as they do in-person. We really need to have
a professional photography set-up & equipment, to catch that look.
Yes, you should be proud .........you built & painted that with your own two hands !
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !
