Hey guys,
This is Dragon's Ausf.A, built completely OOB. It is painted mostly in Tamiya acrylics. It is weathered with MMP weathering powders, an oil wash, oil filters, and a light drybrush. It is only 99% complete, it is still waiting for handles and a piece that covers something on the right side of the hull. (twinged from the tweezers :-) )
Oh yes, I did notice the piece that covers the exhaust has popped loose, it's fixed now...
EDIT: The before mentioned statement of being completely OOB is not true, I did replace the decals because the originals were absolutely horrendous. Glad to see they got rid of those in their latest offerings!

Hi David. Is this the early or late model kit? Any issues when building it?
Overall it looks great, the camo and weathering are very realistic.
Maybe it has to do with the photographs, but because of the two aforementioned items, the details take second place. Looking at the first and fourth pics, at the back hull, it almost looks flat, while in reality theres quite a bit of detail here. Would suggest some mild pin washes and a little dry brush on the peaks to pronounce the detail a little. Nice one.

Great job on the Panther Was the camo airbrushed on? On the left side of the turret the 0 in 309 looks like it didn't quite set right onto the turret
Mabybe it's just the photo

The numbers and the cross looks much newer then the rest of the paint, and the exhaust pipes look very pink to me, otherwise a wonderful build!

Wow. You got yourself a nice Panther. How was the build? I got the same kit in my stash. Camo and weathering look good. Only thing I see is the black tool on the left and right side of the tank beside the wehrmacht decal seem not to be weathered as the other tools. Seems they are too black. Could be the photo. Excellent work.

Hey guys.
It does have a slight pin wash, but it doesn't have the drybrush of the other parts of the tank. It was still wet when I started brybrushing, so I sorta skipped it mostl. I'll go back with a light drybrushing again...
This is the early version. It was a great build. Every thing fit great, but it doesn't have the parts count of most DML kits, but it does make up for this with plenty of detail. The decals are the worst I have ever used before though, so replace them before attempting to use them! Also, be sure to remove the seam on the MG mantlet thingy, I missed mine and it doesn't look so great...
The pink in the exhaust is accentuated by the photos, in reality it is a little browner, but still kinda bright for rust. I just thought it looked cool :-)

Yes Chad, the camo was airbrushed. Thats how I do all of my painting that way. The original decals in the kit were horrendous so I replaced them with tamiya decals, but the old decals had left some chips behind. That's what you are seeing, chips from the old decals. Great job on the Panther Was the camo airbrushed on? On the left side of the turret the 0 in 309 looks like it didn't quite set right onto the turret

In reality when you look at them they have some drybrushing of burnt umber over them, but it doesn't show in the photos. The numbers and the cross looks much newer then the rest of the paint, and the exhaust pipes look very pink to me
