A couple of people have wondered how my Ram II master was progressing, so here are a couple of (fuzzy) shots of it from today. I have to take down the cast texture a tad and add the fuel shutoff valve holes to the engine deck plates, but then it's into the rubber they all go.
Not much chance of me having this puppy ready for AMPS, but you never know...

Very nice so far. I don't generally model WWII subjects any more, unless they're artillery related, so please pardon my ignorance-did those use the dry pin track like the Sexton? If so, will you be doing the track as well? I'd love a set in link and length, as the track in my S Model Sexton has put the project on hold for almost two years. The kit is great, but I just can't deal with these individual links. It takes about five minutes of filing to get them to fit, and even then, they don't lay right.

No, they didn't in service and thuogh the fact that one of the Rams at Borden does have a set of CDP installed right now implies that post war Rams in Canada might have had them fitted. No evidence of that though. Wartime photos of Rams in Canada shows them in steel chevron track.

Not on a bet. :-)
I scratchbuilt a set of CDP track for my Skink, I built 15 years ago. The emotional scars of making 200+ links, 400+ track teeth and fitting them all together haunts me to this day.
