Love it Man! It looks good and captures the essence of the real truck. Also, the raw kit is no easy-build either...

I've never even seen a jeep like this! Very cool. Not a huge amount of weathering, but neither light. Just right.

Actually Jeff, it was a 1.5 ton truck, but got it's name because of it's popularity along the Burma Road. The Navy liked them because they were smaller than the normal 1.5 tonners and easier to transport.

I need to think about some good old fashion Navy Cargo for it now!..... :-)

There are two loads I can think of, but only the rum should be mentioned here...
Nice build Dave, nice change to see a land based Navy vehicle. Good job on the paint.

Cheers

Hi Dave

I have seen all the pictures of your excellent Burma Jeep and I have one question to make regarding the left rear double wheels (drivers side): the tilting of the wheels this side is different from the right side? Or is it from my eyes? This can be explained if they aren't glue yet...

Excellent craftmanship, as usual!!

As for the Cargo: Palm Tree trunks, beer cases and a couple of Marines?

Skipper

PS: nice air cut

On these photos they are already epoxied, and the one does have a very slight tilt. I'm certainly not going to pace the floor over it though..... hell Skipper you know me, I never sweat the small stuff. But thanks for pointing it out, now I'll have to be creative and come up with a way to disguise it...... :-) :-)

OK, fixed it with a little hot air.... no I didn't breath on it, used the old hair dryer, and gently straightened it some, not perfect, but not as angled either.

Henk... I was thinking of a few drunken sailors in back, with the shore patrol dragging another over..... but then we sailors never got drunk, or were brought back by the shore patrol, that's all Hollywood.... :-)

Now that is a good idea Dave. The bit about a few drunken sailors in the back I mean. The other just shows that the Navy was and still is full of cr*p! LOL :-)

The truck sure came up well. I remember as a school kid in New Zealand riding in one around the farm as that is what they used as a farm truck in those days.

Cheers

I really like it Dave. Intersting subject. I take it it's a resin kit?

As to cargo seems like a "boat load" of cases of SPAM would be appropriate.

Thanks for the nice words guys,
Yes Rodger it's a resin kit.
I wrote an in the box review for it a while ago:

Not finished yet, a few more small details to add, and a little more weathering. (all you see is really a slight wash of euro dark grey, 'cause that's all I added so far!)
