Here is an update of progress on the Indian Bodied Chevrolet 3 ton truck that was used on the North/South Highway (Stuart Highway) in the Northern Territories of Australia during WW2.
Part one can be found here.... https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/71096&page=1
As was explained in the first post this is being built from a photo and only spares from the spares box and Evergreen Plastic sheet used. Axles and springs came from the Tamiya LRDG Chev kit and the engine and wheels along with the steering box and column are from the Tamiya GMC kit. Wheels are only placed in position for the photos.
Any comments welcomed and more photos can be found here...

This is one of the most interesting projects of the campaign and I look forward to seeing it finished.

The size has worn off the spool I bought from the electronics shop but it is about .25 to .3 of a mm.
Thanks for your comments. The cab roof framework is finished and the rear bed is about 50% done now. I have a lot more work to do to detail the engine and front area as I discovered some neat photos in a book of the front portions of these vehicles.
Also I discovered that these vehicles are a 3 ton Maple Leaf Chevrolet/GMC imported as Cowl/windscreen and chassis units from Canada and then bodied locally for the 'Darwin Overland Maintenance Force' (DOMF). This was a pre-Army as we know it force that maintained what few roads and services there were in the Northern Territory of Australia at that time.
Cheers
Cliff
