This is the Tamiya Hummer with the MIG conversion kit # MP35-254 and the new tire set # MP 35-255 . I am building it as the Hummer that I used in Iraq . The hummer is still in the early stages most of the resin is dry fitted so its looks a bit off kilter . All of the parts line up pretty well about the only small gripe that I have is that the gun shield and turret should be included in the kit . If its on the market I might have over looked it .I'm working on scratching up a turret / shield . I'm going to put it in a dio based on a mission the we were on while i was in Iraq . There was a destroyed BMP - 2 up-side down in a pond just up the road from our FOB , so I'm going to use my " creative liscense " to add my truck to the scene .

I love those hummer gun trucks, and yours is going to be cool. I too wonder about the MIG parts. Theyre like the caviar of resin in general

Carlton,
That looks great. Very interesting dio, what will you be using for the water. Can't wait to see more progress photos and it's end result. I always keep saying to myself that I'm going to do a Humvee some day. Maybe seeing your's finished I'll get to it. Question, are the tire's finished, if so how did you achieve the finish.

This is really cool and one of the first M1114 conversions I've seen here. What do you plan putting in the weapons ring? Just a standard .50?

Gino , Gary - The MIG kit is pretty good - this is only the 3rd resin conversion that I have tried , about the only trouble spot is around the bottom of the front window and the hood . I've had to re-fit it a couple of times to get the fit right .
Joe , I'm still out to lunch on how I'm going to do the water . For the tires I just air-brushed them flat black and then I backed off while I was shooting the tan to get the dust look on the tires .
Jeremy , I'm going to scratch the rest of it - the conversion kind of tapped the budget on this one .
Charles , - thanks for the comments -
Jeff , just going with the .50 cal , thats what we had on my truck in country , my gunner kept his M-4 handy for the light work .
