Thanks Wampum for posting my pic for me...less work!
Yup, I am done. Who knew Kursk would be so popular?
Do I need to move a picture to the Historical Dioramas folder or is just mentioning it here good enough?

We do not have a section for this campaign in the gallery. So you can use your personal gallery sections.. And it is enough to see the dioramas here in posts..

Hi guys, firstly I'm praying that these images come through, I've got pics in my albumn, but this is a new experience posting them to a Forum...
Here's my contribution to "Historical Dioramas". I'm always impressed by the high standard of modelling on this site, so please be gentle with my efforts..
This is just simply a diorama of the German army hurriedly sending troops to the beachhead to reinforce their comrades in Normandy on D-Day. The vehicle is a Horch 1a with 2cm Flak38 from Tamiya. The 4 troops on the ground are Dragons German Combat Unit Normandy 1944.
I find researching what I'm about to recreate almost as enjoyable as building the models themselves, ie uniform colours, equipment used/not used etc..
Painting faces and weathering I feel are the hardest challenges, how people get sooooooo much detail on one tiny face beats me, hats off to them!!
Hope you like my diorama, and hope even more so that these images work...... (ha ha)
Cheers for now,
Simon

Hi Simon,
First of all thanks for your contribution. That's a nice diorama.. I like the vehicle, nice paintwork on it. The figure on the left with MG looks funny to me, he has a weird running position, don't you think? This is not your fault I think the figure came like that from the box.
I like the telegraph post. Where is it from?
The green areas look good to me..
I can't comment about the ruin. The photos are not enough big. Maybe you can take some nice and bigger shots so we can see the details.

Hello again,
As you can see I've taken the above pics out of my albumn, and replaced them now with bigger images..
Thanks for the comments, much appreciated!! The telegraph post was scratch built with wooden dowel and matchsticks. The grass is "hanging basket matting", I find invaluable for alittle grass...and cheap too. I appreciate what you say about the machine gunner on the left, he does look a bit 'un-natural'.
Thanks again, off now for the next project, somewhere in Eastern Europe I think....
Simon.

Ladies and Gents... I might have to bow out of this one. I don't want to but several wedding weekends in May is going to take away my time. With 3 other comapigns on the bench I'm going to have to finish those before I start this one.

Hi friends. We have 30 days to go for the ribbons.
The last entry is richardmci's Lion Rampant &Charging Bull diorama. It's a crowded and very nice diorama. I like it alot.
You can find the other pictures in the gallery of our campaign.
Thanks for participating.
Edited May 18 2006: Your diorama's pictures are not available any more at the campaign section. Please check them if you are still enlisted in the campaign. Thanks.
