I've managed to finsh the Lancia 3Ro horse/mule transport for the Move It Again! campaign.
The vehicle was used during WWII and employed in Italy, Balcans and Russia.
The kit is one of the newest Crielmodel resin ones and it's built OOB with the only exception of the decals that are custom made by A.W.D..
This is the pic "proving" that the vehicle existed
and these are the pics of the finished model
As usual any comment, suggestion and criticism is more than welcome!
Ciao
Fabio

Now that is nice. Can you give more info on the kit? Things like quality, fit, etc.
Cheers

Of course I can Cliff!!!
The Criel reference is R099. It's a complete resin kit that costs around 80 euros. Since an year or so Criel changed the resin and now it's absolutely odorless and it's very easy to work with. The kit also includes some internal wodden walls to actually separate the horses (these were never used during war time because they were not practical at all) and a horse.
As already said the kit is almost OOB and the only mod I made was to "empty" the headlights and making the glass out of acetate.
I hope this can help

I forgot to tell that this very vehicle served with the 34° Autogruppo Pesante (34th Heavy Transports Group) a logistic unit at divisional level of the Regio Esercito in Russia during 1941 and 1942 and that was used to carry the horses of the two Cavalry Regiments (Savoia Cavalleria 3° and Lancieri di Novara 5°) and teh mules of varoius Regiments of Alpini...

Beautiful Fabio. It has been a long time since we saw some of your work. This is a first class example. Thanks for sharing. And glad to see getting active again.

This is really cool. The photos are very well done as does the kit. Thanks for your a-typical choice, it fits well

You forgot the mules!!!! :-) :-)
Looks Great Fabio. I had an uncle that fought in the Italian army in the Balkans. Too bad he's not around anymore. I would have loved to have shown him the pictures.

Thanks everybody for your nice words.
For what concerns this very model it will go to Crielmodel for they own display. I've another project for a diorama with another Lancia 3Ro like this with a modified Viberti trailer to carry the saddlery stuff and a couple of figures an horses from the Lancieri di Novara in Russia in 1941...
Ciao and thanks again

Beautiful work Fabio! I love your paint job and weathering. You could add some dust and mud to the running gear but it's my personal taste.
