This is an Italeri kit of the Opel Blitz and Tamiya's Field Kitchen. The rest are scratchbuilt. Still some more to go on the paint job.

Very nice Mondo, I really like the look of this, & far more ambitious than my offering (see below).

Great job on both kitchens. Something about food and soldiers I like.

Hohenstaufen,
I see I'm not alone in that idea. Although I should've gone your route and saved me a lot of trouble scratchbuilding. I got 2 cuts in my fingers and the chains are a b!+6h!
Cheers,

Coming from you sir, that's one helluva complement.
I'm still converting figures for a cook and his helper as well as building a step ladder. In the original it was like a steel frame ladder. I'll simulate mine as wood.
Thanx

Very nice and very different. A great addition to the campaign. Your drybrushing and the effect on the wood is really cool.
BTW: Do you have a period photo to go along with it?
Thanks for you participation.

Very nice! Galing mo pare!
Where are the cook and the helper?
Maybe you can add some impression of mess by adding some small details like a potatoe or a fruit that fell on the ground. Or a kitchen ustensile hanging there.
I know Germans are very tidy person, but it woiuld add a nice touch, to an already beautiful piece!

Thanks everyone. Yes there is a pic of it. I'll try to post it later. Not too clear though. I haven't found one with a good resolution.
Salamat Nicoropi,
The cook and his assistant is still being kitbashed. The stove was from the other Tamiya kit where there was no cook figure. I guess the truck can live without it's crew for a while.
The wood grain was scribed with a dental tool. Then I used powdered chalk pastels to simulate wear and dirt, then a sludge wash to bring out the grain.
Thanks,
Ramon

Very, very nice scratchbuild Mondo. Lots of lovely interior details as well. Looking at your mobile kitchen is making me feel hungry again despite having breakfast just 1 hour ago. Good stuff.

Excellant model Mondo, but I was wondering~ what with no other visible bracing, shouldn't the outboard support chains be taut?
