Here is my initial concept. Still tinkering with the vehicles and the layout but I think you get the idea!!

Looks good so far. Where did you find the WAC? Might want to hit the figures with some dulcote, they look shiney. Good concept.

The WAC is actually a German military person from some company called Junior Town.
Ironically the shine on the figs is wet dullcoat
I'm thinking of replacing the beep with a jeep beause I feel the tarp might be covering the view of the 6x6

Great idea !!!
The only guy not looking is the driver -- no one is that dedicated -- maybe he should be looking & the truck should be running into something !!!

Excellent concept Alan. Too bad the figs are 1/35 otherwise you could add some drool for realism. From the male perspective, this is one dio that I really like. (Sorry ladies a moment of chauvinistic weakness)
Looking to see this one done up.

No Kev. I was swapping some heads on my Nam dio. Swapping some modern tanker helmets with hippy and regular steel-pot helmet heads.
I didn't have any gawking, leering and drooling heads to swap.

Looks good, cute idea.
Kinda sums it up. I like it.
As for your comment about switching, in my opinion leave it. For my argument I am assuming that the Beep is supporting her for the moment. If that is the case, have the Beep backed up a little. Adding a Jeep just creates more work, plus, despite the ubiquitousness (wow thats a big word and potentially one that doesn't even exist ) of the Jeep, I think it is almost cliche to add one, especially since the Deuce was equally ubiquitous. Keeping the Beep adds a little more variety to an already different dio (than usual).
Also, your front tire looks kind of weird. I am again assuming its just the "mud" but your spare wheel, which appears overall cleaner has the same mud spots. Just a comment.
Anyway, this has the lookings of a great dio. Keep it up, 18 days left.

Interesting idea Alan.
Dry brushing your kit to highlight the raised parts might bring out the character in both vehicles.

I added a second lady to the scene. I also added two GIs who dropped their supplies gawking at the lovely ladies.

I gotta say Alan it's a good idea, but IMHO the first layout was better. It seems they ran out there , stopped a moving jeep, and started changing in the middle of the road for the benefit of some guys dropping off supplies. I thought it seemed a little more natural when there was only one girl, the beep was in place of the jeep and the scene was smaller. The original ladies hand also looks wierd on the jeep because her fingers are pointing straight up, as opposed to when they were actually touching something on the beep. It also seems to me that the supply guys are a little mismatched, one seems to have been watching for a while, and the other looks as if he's been living under a rock. I think the original idea is great, but I think you need to go back to the old layout.

No way! girls travel in pairs - i love the addition. and... who's to say they arent doing it for the benefit of the guys... not changing, just making crucial adjustments to the wardrobe!! while im hoping that they arent in their final positions, and i do agree about the splayed fingers on the jeep hand (maybe she can have it more on the side of the jeep). i say leave the second girl.

Hey Airwarrior. I originally built the Beep for the ladies the exact reasons you stated. It seems more unique that they would be driving one. However because I lost some of the pieces for the bed I added the tilt. After several showings to a couple people it was decided the tilt was blocking the view of the 6x6 so the Beep was replaced with a jeep.
I have always wanted to have the women with the Beep. Therefore I decided to remove the tilt and sratchbuilt the missing pieces.
I'm still experimenting with placements. Don't worry about the fingers of the leaning lady. It's that way because she's balanced leaning against the vehicle. Once she's glued in place I can get her hand in better position.
Here is another test shot. The jeep will be replaced with the new one I just bought and will not have the tilt up.

It's starting to look better! I have an idea for you. Is it possible to move the standing soldier so his arm is on the kneeling soldier shoulder (say tha ten times fast), sorta like he's saying, "Tough luck bub, she's out of your league.)

Another update. I decided to cut the base and use only two trucks. I think it looks better
