Hi guys,
Here are some shots of my conversion of the Tamiya Churchill Mk VII croc to a Mk III at Dieppe. I have included a photo of the vehicle I am trying to replicate. The Castoff turret, AA tracks, and a few misc. conversion parts were used, along with Eduard PE, but the interior, and a lot of the other detail (read: 100's of rivets) were scratchbuilt. (I have a typed list 2 pages long of all that was done). I have included a shot of the driver's compartment, however, the turret also received detail. Let me know what you guys think, as it is about to go to the paint booth. Thanks to Mark Bannerman for parts and reference, and Alan Bessler for some of the interior parts.

Dear Daniel.
That is a sweet looking tank. I have always wanted to make a churchill tank. I wonder how you did such a great job? I have wanted to try AA's track, how did you attach them to the suspension? Is it hard to work with? but it is realy a nice tank, you have made. It is realy great to see a non german tank.

sonnboy,
Thanks for the compliments. It took a lot of work, about five months on and off. As for the tracks. I actually used some recasts of the originals that I got froma friend. They required an enormous amount of cleanup , but that may have just been becasue they were recasts. They were tough to work with, but again, I cant speak for the genuine product. IN the end, I cut sections and individual lengths and used CA glue to attach these together and to the sprockets, suspension, etc. I then used putty on the joints. Apparently the tracks in the new Cromwell models kits are better, but they are not available individually... yet.
Thanks again,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
This is going to look brilliant when you have finished. You've obviously put a lot of work into this one, I think it looks great and the hard work shows through.
Look forward t seeing her finished.
Thanks for posting this.

Hi Daniel
Thats a stunning piece of work you have done there,it's great to see someone as young as yourself put so much research and skill into a most unusual project.
It looks perfect to me ,and I'm very much looking forward to seeing some paint on it.
Keep it up young man ,you have a great future ahead of you.
