Here's a photo of the Academy M48A5 for the OB&G campaign I used the AFV Club indy tracks for it 78 links per side The kit sprockets had to be about 2mm wider for the tracks It's painted with Testors MM armor sand, field drab, and flat black

It's my serious second attempt at airbrushing camo I know there's some black overspray Had a devil of a time with the thin black lines After I weather it,the overspray should be gone Maybe a dusty coat on it? I have the Mig pigments

Looking good, Chad. I would really like to see some pictures which is a bit darker, since the hard light makes it difficult to see the details.

Looks like a solid build. Not too bad with the airbrush work either. Fine lines can be difficult to acheive. One comment though, MERDC has 4 colors, not 3. There were 2 types of Desert MERDC, Red Desert and Gray Desert. Red Desert MERDC (as it looks like you are replicating) is made up of Earth Red, Earth Yellow, Sand, and Black. The sand should also be in smaller squiggles like the black.

Check here for more info.

Here is an M577A2 in Red Desert MERDC.

M60A3 pattern (basically the same as the M48A5 pattern) is here.

More views here.

Good job so far. If you add the sand squiggles, it will look great.

Gino

Thanks for the kind words and the links and pics I got the idea for the desert camo awhile back I found some pics on the net I do believe they were from Tanks Heaven site That's gone now?

The only colors I saw at the time were the field drab, black and sand Of course those pics may not have been the best Not sure if I should post them here I hope I have some earth yellow with me in the truck
I wonder if dark yellow would be a close match? I'll use that M60 as a guide Thanks again
