Dragons kit 6255, strictly OOTB. Marked as belonging to 714th Tank Bn, 12th AD, Germany 1945.
Just a few touch ups are left. Then a scenic baseplate as well as figures in the hatches.

I like it except for the second pic. The left rubber block on the tracks look like you missed painting/weathering.
Also that gear on the rear shelf isn't going to be on there very long once the Sherman gets rolling unless it's tied down

Very nice camo work. There is a problem with the kit itself in that it retains the grouser covers (Those oval plates in front of the rear lights) from the M4A2 kit. They weren't present on 47 degree hull M4A3s such as this. It should be easy enough to file them off even at this stage

Is the turret texture part of the kit or did you add it on?

Thanks for the comments.
I stress the fact that its built out of the box. No modifications are done or will be done, nor research. Sometimes I do that.
It depends on the subject.
Alan.
I dont see whats different with the track to the left?
I really cant decide about the items back, I agree about having them tied down, but I wonder if Im gonna leave it as they are as its supposed to be OOTB. Perhaps one can use streched sprue? I think thats allowed.
Murdo.
A little texture was added with liquid glue. I also left some extra filler around the seam on the turret and textured it rather than removing it.

Nice job. One little thing is that the interior of the hatchs would be painted OD as well. While the interior was white the hatches were painted OD so they would show up against an OD turret.

Great OOTB build Toke. I know you mentioned its purely OOTB so is it safe to assume that the steel wire cable came with the kit too?
How did you find the kit overall in terms of accuracy? ie: did the parts come together well?

Guilty as charged Eric.
I took me some libertys with that, mostly because I like the look.
I would like to remeber that theres still a debate whether exceptions were made?
The cable comes along with the kit, as a small fret of photoetch. In this kit theres two sets of figures as well. One of the the US Tanker set.
Jeremy.
I steel cable comes with the kit as a choice of turned aluminium barrel and tracks.
I cant comment on the accuracy as this isnt a subject Im familiar with.
The kit was neat to build.
Problems is with the seam around the turret mentioned above and the sponsons needs some filling in the seams.
The tracks need some tender loving care as they could easily be crooked.
The cable is a little to thick for the shackles. If its the cable or the shackles, I dont know.

Gday TOKE
I like it! Not enough Op. Cobra two tones getting around...
Will you include in your 'touch-ups' the front lights?
With your mud on the transmission housing, may I suggest a lighter 'spatter' of mud up and over what's present? It loks a little too blended at the moment...
I'd stuff some stowage over the grouser box covers as an option if you want...
I think Alan was seeing the mud on the rubber block as missing paint...
Good job!
Cheers
Brad
