Ola People

Well first of all I want to say that I did not dissapear completely. I was pretty busy lately with putting up my own Design studio. (Spoetnick Studio) and most of my time went into that project. Other thing is that lately my painting is not going as it used to do the same with my weathering. Somwhow it doesn't work out the way I see it... call it a painters block. It is also the reason that I put my motorcyclists dio aside as I'm really afraid of ruining something.

That is why I decided to built another kit. This time it is yet another Vacu Form kit. But........ I decided to go a bit wild on it and thus I ordered some stuff here and there. to make something good out of this project (Hopefully) Well basically the term to use is a Vacu Form, Kitbash, Scratchbuilt and PE updatesets project and something that I really look forward to finish cos I already started. From now on I will refer to as the Mistery vehicle... and that has a reason which I will explain later. First I will show you one of the earliest progress. Which is the following. I made 2 springs for the suspension. Completely scratchbuilt from Evergreen, metalwire and Copperwire. And it does actually work. I photographed it on a 20 euro cent coin to show the size of it

Next is the same spring but now next to it the second spring in all it's parts so you guys can see what it is made of.

Of course I like to hear what you think of it. Every comment or critic is welcome.

Now why the mistery vehicle and why do you have "A sort of contest" in your title. Well here comes. I decided to make it a sort of contest. Every time I have made some progress I show it here. Unfortunately for you guys I will not make overview shots. I only make pictures from the progress. Basically it can be any vehicle. And that is where you guys can make a little bit of fortune. I give you, besides making comments and critics, the opportunity to make a guess as to what the vehicle is that I'm going to built. The person who guesses it correctly wins a free kit which will be send by me to the winner... wherever the winner may live. I still have to make up which kit will be send out but it will be a kit from DML. If you are interested drop a note here in this thread which will be updated every time when I have made progress. Also everybody is free to make a guess and everybody is welcome to do so. If nobody guesses exactly what the vehicle is... then the free kit goes to the closest guess.

Well my last words in this thread for now are ...... Let the games begin!!!!!!!

Ola Guys

I know that it is hard to say what kind of vehicle it is going to be with only 1 spring visible. People who know me a bit probably can figure out what time period this vehicles comes out and it even could be very easy to say from which side.

I'm now working on the chassis where the springs are connected to the chassis itself. Pics will follow soon.

Oh..... No correct answers as of yet....... Try again gents.

From what I've seen of you it's a Kubelwagen or a Gaz jeep, or a Zil truck...

Ola Guys

No good guesses at the moment.... Maybe you guys might start to think a bit bigger. Although the Ballista receives extra points

Wait for the next updates and more will become clear eventually.

I also hope I can tell you which kit you guys can win. As they still have to come in.
