hope this works this time
regards andrew
it did work . I dont know why the second photo wont come up and the ones that did are different sizes.
any way i hope some of you like my idea of a mkvii 17pder guncarrier
its supposed to be a quick fix to arm the churchill with a 17pder
i have made the upper hull in cardboard as a mockup so i can take measurements and transfere them to plasticard

Gday Andrew and firstly, welcome!!
What better way to introduce yourself than with an obscure build such as this...
I'm not too familiar with the Churchill family, and this is definitely one I have not seen before... Do you have any reference pics you are working off, or what the real deal looks like?
Cheers
Brad

Hi Andrew,
Welcome to the site and thanks for posting the pictures of you kit.
Interesting variation, I'll have to look it up when I get back home.
Cheers

Thanks Brad and Al
Im glad you both like it
This churchill mk vii 17pder gun carrier didnt exist in real life,
its just a whatif design of my own along the lines of a churchill 4" guncarrier.
The idea is " whats the quickest way to arm a churchill standard hull with a 17pder gun IN 1944 "
I have 2 others whatif designs to start which ill just do as card board mockups at the moment to see what they look like, then when i have more time ill made them in plasticard.
The next 2 will be a turreted 17 pder churchill and a 4" guncarrier
both will have widened mk vii hulls and sloped armour.
Ive had the ideas in my head for a while and finaly done some sketches of them, Im looking forward to getting the mockups done too see how they work out.
I have other whatifs ill post one tonight.
and i must get some photos of my standard kits done
Thanks for your comments
Regards Andrew

Andrew,
The British commissioned protypes of Churchill tanks with 17 Pdr. guns in Autum of 1943. Six prototypes surfaced in May of 1945 under the title "A43 Black Prince", but these vehicles were rejected due to the coming abouts of the Centurion Mk. I (A43), which also never saw action during the Second World War.
