guys
Ive tried all night to resize my photos and it wont work.
Photo bucket is ignoreing my 25% resizing instructions
so i dont know what to do
Any way this is a tamiya grant hull turned round so the driving wheels are now at the back and lengthened to take the afv m4 vinyl tracks .
I have put a firefly 17pder gun in it and Churchill mk 7 front hull which are my own resin copies
Its all made in card board at the minute and ill transfer the measurements to plasticard
in the fall, and detail it
some changes will happen along the way
hope you like it
Sorry again that i cant get the resizing to work its "doing my head in" as we say in Northern Ireland
Ill try again next time
regards Andrew
Second try at resizing

Hi Andrew.
The worst part about useing the 3 part transmission cover as the back end, is that its so recogniseable, it will be harder to pull it off, convincingly.
What about higher sides, like the grant and have a turret built more to one side??? What kind of exhaust system have you planned for this? Just thinking out loud.
Ps; I donīt think the "doing my head in" thing is strictly a N. Ireland thing! :-) :-) :-)

Hi Frank
yes your right about the doing my head in bit , ive heard a few of the car guys from the All Ireland club im in saying the same thing and they are from all over.
The 3 piece transmission at the rear from a technical view wouldnt work
in m3 form,
as there isnt enough length from the back of the turret to the drive sprockets to take the lee final drive and an engine.
but to get round this it will be set up
with a merret brown type gearbox
more crusader in that the gear box final drive is a bit more compact and
would just about fit ... i think??
Ive been thinking of lengthening the rear hull top to give a bit more length
for this reason, which will mean that only the lower half of the transmission cover would be visable.
But i could live with that, however it could get lengthened so that the 3 piece would be completely covered
im not sure yet.
As for exausts they will be m4 fishtails as ive loads cast up in different configurations.
The actual tank isnt realy a recycled lee its just that its a recycled lee kit if you know what i mean
I think i should have used a different title.
The kit lay around for years in the attic and i just had to do some thing with it, but as it stands at present im dought full if the drive train would
work but i can fix that.
I think it will end up with a resin copy cromwell engine deck on it??
Thanks for your interest
