My first 1:35 model. Not quite finished in terms of armaments, stowage etc. Will post more when these are done!
Please comment - would like to know what you guys think!

Gday Harry
Not bad for your first in 1/35th! Is this the later issue Tamiya willys? By all reports it is one of the most accurate models made OOB...
Is the dust/dirt as light as it looks in the pic? Seems to be a little too whiteish maybe...
Are you going to put it into a diorama?
More pics please!
Cheers
Brad

Hi Brad. Yes it is the later Tamiya Jeep, and I found it very easy to build.
The reason the mud etc looks quite white is that it is snow!
There is light earth and snow on it, as I am hopefully going to use it with a few members of the 101st in Bastogne.
More pics will come soon - hopefully! (But probably tomorrow)

Ah hah! Now it looks really good
What did you use for the snow? Is there any build-up or is it just a snow colour at this stage? A Bastogne diorama would be good, be it in the forest surrounds or the town itself...

I painted the snow on with a Tamiya Snow Weathering Stick.
You can't really see it in these pictures, but the snow above the wheels was made using baking powder and PVA glue mixed together.
I'm glad you like it - I have spent ages on because I can only work on a Sunday because of School!

If it helps, Harry, as soon as I saw it I thought, "Good Lord that looks cold!"
Cold and dry - is that how it was at Bastogne? If it was cold and wet, some more reflective finishing touches might help...
