Excellent Model on a very interesting topic!
Only thing is that tank 314 that you are modelling doesn't have any front track guards over the drive wheels. Just thought i'd point it out.
Keep it going, an excellent build.
James

Yeah James, I knew that and thought about leavin' 'em off, but decided to leave 'em on 'cos I kinda' like the look of 'em.
Who knows, they could've had 'em on before that image was taken, i've jus' backdated the vehicle a little!

Fair enough! Just thought i'd point it out anyways. The others have theirs on so it stands to chance that 314 did at some point!
I like to have a bit of artistic license with my models so I can't blame you for it!
Have fun finishing it off, looks great,
James

I'm trashin' this kit guys, i'm givin' up on it! The vision blocks have bolts when they shouldn't! I am so angry with this kit, i've broken the thing into pieces!

This project is over, dead and buried! Dragon's 'Smart Kit' is not smart by any means, it is full of oddities, and the vision block bolt issue is one of many!!

I completely overlooked the bolt details around the vision blocks on this kit, and thought what are Dragon doin'?! This kit is like Frankenstein's monster, it only serves to be used as spare parts, its not an early variant as Dragon say on the box, its a late one...well in the end I didn't know what it was, and I don't think Dragon know either!
How this kit can be given a 95% in the review on this forum, I don't know!
This kit is a total compromise and a disgrace! Good riddance!

NO WAY!
I can't beleive you destroyed it! It was such an interesting theme too! Couldn't you have overlooked a few bold heads like the track guards? At least of sanded them off and replaced them?
After all that work too!
Think i'm going to go and have a little cry now!
Better luck next time man, i'll be interested to see what you come up with next.

James, for starters this was a kit that is designed to be a quick and easy build, hence the term 'Smart Kit'. But look what you'll end up with if ya' did, a total piece of nonsense!! Admittedly the details on this kit can be remedied, but in all honesty you wouldn't buy a late version Pz.I when you need an early Pz.I would ya'?. That is what is goin' on with this kit.
Oh yeah, and they decide to throw in a '35 horn, when by 1936 this version was no longer in use. There are no side armour strips, these apply more to a later version but i've seen some early ones with 'em too. The inset bolts around the vision block are a small pain in the butt to get rid of 'cos some of 'em are closely situated near the delicate weld seams. The right rear vision block on the upper hull needs to be removed and filled. The drivers vision block has a reinforcin' strip above it which will be impossible to remove without destroyin' the weld seam above. The little hook attachment points on the turret are badly located, also.
Man, this kit is a monster, how can it be smart, you tell me?
Thanks James for lookin', and thanks for your comments. Cheers mate!
