Currently building a M966 TOW 2 HMMWV that I command back in the 80s while assigned to the Tow Plt. 3 Bn 17 Inf, 7 Inf. Div (Light). Also I'm working on the missile itself. Will Try to get a photo of it within a day or two. What is the verdict?

Wow, that's incredible detail, well done. The drivers compartment is particulalrly good and I like all the tie down straps. :-)

Ed, looks great. All it needs is a Coke can and cheat sheet hanging off the radio and it'd look real enough to drive!

Thanks guys. All your comments have been grreatly appreciated. I've been modeling off and on for the past 35 years. But, this model has been the first one I haven't built start out of the box. THis time I've used PE for detail and fabricated what was still lacking. I'm hoping by Wednesday or Thursday, I'll have it done.

My next planned project will be a TOW gun jeep, just after the missile has left the launch tube. That is why I built the TOW missile for. Anyone have an idea on how I could have the TOW missile displayed in flight and still look real?

Ed

Amazing job so far. I really like the small detail such as the strapdown belts and stuff. I also like the idea of actually have a launch scene with the rocket out of the tube.
What you could do is glue a clear plasti rod into the tow tube itself and glue the rocket on that too. the gap between the rocket and the tube can be covered/camoflaged with cottonballs sprayed in the colour black or whatever the colour is that the smoke of a tow launching mechanism is to simulate the smoke trail that comes from the rocket

just a guess hope it is of some help
