The building on this model is 99% finished ! It only needs a bit of putty here and there.
Then, I'll be painting the model OD. I think I'll be painting a big blue and white cross on the engine deck, as it was featured in 56, 57 and perhaps later.
This model was sold under the brand name "BEST VALUE MODELS".
It contains :
- Italeri upper hull
- a few details from DML : turret hatches and roadwheels for exemple...
- resin lower hull from azimuth
- resin turret, metal barrel, resin muzzle brake, a bit of PE, white metal suspension arms, all from azimuth.
Resin parts are of good quality, with nearly no bubble at all. The only negative thing is that resin always needs more work thn injected plastic. Also, it's so toxic...
I did the grunt rails with some metal wire, bent to shape and glued with CA glue.
The hull was textured by softening up the plastic with tamiya super thin liqid cement and then "hitting" it with a hard brush. Then, a few days later, I sanded the hull to soften the effect a bit. Appart from that, the model is straight out of the box !
The kit is sold by, and only by AZIMUTH, a shop from Paris that creates plenty of resin conversions.
What do you think about this ?
And do you know when the smoke grenades were applied on the turret sides ?

Penpen
You've done a great job constructing this kit. At least for me, multi media kits are a real challenge and your build here is very cleanly done.
Nice concise work on the metal turret rail, light guards and grabs. Overall, the fit looks very clean and tight. This is good work.
Can't wait to see it painted. Thanks for the pics and the opportunity to comment.

Even though you are a Wolf , I must admit that I like your M-50.
I have never done kits of this era but your kit looks cleanly and skillfully built .
Nice Job,
Andrew

SS74, I understand why you like the gun : it's a french 75mm gun that is derived from the WWII panther's gun.
The tracks that came with the kit are soft plastic ones, but they look nice ! I think that they are AFV tracks in fact.
