Hey all, a co-worker has asked me to build him a modelof his ride when he was posted to Germany in the mid '80s.

He was a driver for a M-577 command vehicle for the Intelligence Section of 4 CMBG. Luckily Quarter master depot has the exact decals for his vehicle! (if you can find some as the QMD went out of business).

I have Tamiyas M-577 and Academy's M-113 IDF (for the interior and probably more seeing that the hull detail is better on the Academy).

The unfortunate part is that this fellow has absolutely NO pictures from his time with this vehicle I have been searching the web for pics and can find only a few of the interior and none of a Canadian version circa 1984.

Any help with this project would greatly be appreciated!

cheers

Have you seen this ? :
Canadian M577

BTW it seems that Quartermasters decals sheets are still available on some websites such as the one of Federowicz Publishing Inc. :

I hadn't heard about QMD yet, that really sucks. Only cost me 50 cents shipping per page, and the they made some good stuff. Maybe somebody will get their printing layouts/templates?

On the Queen Mary, I'll see what I can did up at the Communications and Electronics museum on tuesday this week, and see what I can find on it.

Rick:

A friend of mine is supposed to shoot me a roll of film of the interior of the Queen Mary at the Armoured School in Gagetown. Whereabouts in Ontario are you located (I am in E Ont - Cornwall to be exact)?? Once get them, I can put them on CD for you.

Happy trails,

Art
