Figured it was time to move this build over here.
Got a little more done, added head and tail lights, finished up the running boards, added the spare tire cases. Added the windshield. Still a few do-dads to do. Worrying about adding the bumpers as the gluing surfaces are extremely small, and will be extremely prone to breaking off. So will probably hold off on those until I whip up a base for it.
The Staff-car and Renault together, still some work to do on that one also.
Let her rip boys, I can take it! :-)

I think the shine on the staff car looks great.
Its more a question than feedback but is the windscreen frame meant to be transparent throughout or is that one of the few do dads left to do?
Maybe its the photos but couldn't see a steering wheel?
I like the elegant look of the car though. Great progress shots.

Jeremy, the photos I have show no center post on the windsheild, if that's what you are asking.
Steering wheel= do-dad
seats= do dads
door handles= more do dads... and the do dads go on and on :-)

Hi Dave,
Looks good to me. Interesting truck you poped in there!!!!
Will you be adding a few figures? A few brown shirts might be good or a few thug like SS hanging off the sides in early war uniform.
If I remember from your last post this was a tricky build and not the best fit of parts. Came out good in the end though.
Cheers
Al

Looking great Dave, you've surely got a lot of patience with that build! I would of thrown it at the wall a long time ago. An all-resin 4 door open-top fendered sedan that needs a glossy finish-definately not for the faint of heart.

Been laid up with a back back, and new meds that have kicked in my AADD, so building has been really slow lately.
Got the smaller parts chromed, and installed along with the interior parts. Still have a few parts that seem to have gone AWOL. :-) But I know they are someplace in the room. Figure is from Lincoln County Line, I replaced his beer stein hand with a different hand.

As always, the extra eyes are needed.

:-) :-) Those are some of the AWOL parts Steve, I'm sure they will turn up, but since my workbench and room is in its' usual disarray with parts scattered about, it's just a matter of time and searching. :-) :-) I'm also waiting for another figure to arrive to keep Fritz company.

Thanks Guys, John, you know I don't compete, but I'm certainly hoping I can get the vacation time off to make AMPS-Nationals this year.

Hey Grump',
Wow....lookin' very stylish there buckeroo How did I miss this build up?....guess my geriatric eyes are indeed really going blind!
Do you {or did I miss} have any close ups of the interior? Be curious to see the details there, and see if you left out a flask of brandy and a couple of glasses or not.......
I also just love the Renault truck!.........what scale are these if you don't mind? That truck looks like a very cool bit of subject matter. Quite unique that.
Kudos pard'....really nice job on both.
Tread.

Excellent work, interesting build I must say, good to see something different from the usual matt coated beasts that grace these pages!
I'll be sure to check out the article when it's up.
