This is a resin base I picked up from my LHS. Its pretty simple but I felt it could be made to shine, with a little work done on it. Obviously this'll be a dry autumn scene, with leaves.
I've added a resin tree stump, cemented in place with superglue. For the groundwork around it I used Vallejo Coarse Pumice to make it look like it grew there (no pun intended). Around this and over the base i've added some static grass, cemented in place with watered down wood glue. The grass was then airbrushed, and toned down a little.
With a Dremel, I drilled out some of the base to form some broken earth. Next up will be to add some more gravel effects, which I feel this needs now! Then a small amount of some PlusModel autumn Oak and Linden leaves'll be added.

Its looking good so far! I have never done a dio base but even something relatively simple like that would do wonders for a well-built model. I like the stump too, looks very realistic.

Looking good, nice simple base. Like the way the tree came out, very realistic. Will be a nice touch with some fallen leaves and your vehicle making it's way down the road / dirt.
Looking forward to the next update. Thanks for sharing! Cheers!

I agree, would like to try something like this some day. Will be following your progress on this, great work so far.
