Just thought I'd share a few pics of some of the stuff on the bench right now, just to prove I haven't been sitting around eating bon bons and watching Oprah...
As always comments welcome

Me too, me too, I'm impress :-) Not only are those nice models but it does show a nice variety (Tank, SPG, Flak, German, Russian).
When will we see them painted?

Time to get the airbrush out Peter
Some splendid building work. Love all the PE and brass, but my favorite is the wiring of the extra fuel cells on the JS3. Got the Nick Cortese book? I built the JS3 when I started out, but would love to do it again, and go to town on it, just like you have done here.
Dont know how you can build so many without adding some paint!

Thanks Lads,
Frank, I did get the Nick Cortese book, man that guy can build... but actually the info came from an Aber sheet, let me know when you do on and I'll send you the info.
Mark,
The kits are Tamiyas JSIII, this is a redo. I traded a guy some kits and he had already painted this one but I thought I could do a bit more to it.
The SU 122 is Tamiyas old beastie, a resurection of sorts, it has a bit of PE and a set of Fruils to come yet. Actually I'll be using to showcase some figgies.
Pzkfw Ausf D is Tamiyas old one with a bunch of PE ( Aber) and some Fruils ( to come) I redid the weld beads and created the missing screws on the turret roof. One or two need to be redone ,but all in all not a bad representation.
The PzKfw IV Ausf F2 is the Tamiya J? and a Tiger Model Works conversion, naturally I was in the middle and Dragon decided to release a new one.....
The 88 is Tamiyas old one with a Jordi barrel, Eduard PE and someones aftermarket wheels, it will be hooked up to an Sd.Kfz 7 ( waiting for Kasten tracks)
HTH
Once again thanks for the encouragement
Peter

Thanks for the info Peter, its good to see people reworking some of the older kits not just hitting the latest releases.
And I agree with Frank, get the 'brush out!

I will say I do get a perverse pleasure in building kits others say are junk, or obsolete. The Tamiya Flak is a great example, with alittle extra it builds into a good looking piece, maybe not as good as the Dragon, but not bad none the less.
Having said that I building a Dragon Panther G Smart Kit for a client, what a great kit, practically falls together. Lousy instructions though.
Cheers

Some very impressive stuff!
As mentioned, it's great to see what can be done with some of Tamiya's old kits with a bit of care and attention, keep up the good work, be great to see this lot painted up!
