Hi folks,
I have previoulsy posted the progress shots ( M26 Pershing: Almost complete ) in jan 07, but work, festive and national service bogs me down till now.
Finally I have had the time to correct the mistakes, apply some light dry brushing, touch up with mig powders to add the dusty effect, and then take some shots of my completed project.
Many thanks and appreciation to:
Sean, for correcting me on the telephone box in the rear, i removed it and touch up on the painting.
Andreas for pointing out the scope, which I missed out painting. i used markers to touch up!
And the rest for the kind encouragements,
So, folks, please do comment again, thanks for looking (and i do really beg your pardons for the poor shots)
Cheers!

Dan, I know nothing about the Pershing so I can't speak to the accuracy of the build. The build overall looks good to me. The weathering is subtle, which I really like. Did you forget to paint the right rear tail light?

Hi Cary and Thomas,
Thanks for the compliments, it was an enjoyable built and I was quite happy the way it turns out. It was also the first time I tried pre-shading.
Cary,
I also did not have good knowledge of M26, so i built the kit OOB, and the instructions did not indicate any coloring required for the right rear. I was puzzled about that at first and after looking at previous build, decided to left it as it is.
Cheers!

Don't point that thing at me!!
Looks good, not too heavily weathered, but very good.

Richard and Bruce,
Thanks for the encouragement.
Bruce, was that a build from you? I loved the way the tow cable was done! Did you mod it? As for the rust on exhaust, yeah, was toying with the idea but ended up leaving it alone, i was afraid of overdoing the whole build. but yours is good, way too good!
Cheers!

Gday Dan
The finish you have achieved gives a real deep metallic hue to the surface... Looks excellent.
As for the rear tail lights, yours are correct with the red lens and the lenses on the bottom left and both on the right should depict clear glass over black. Hard to tell, but are the vision blocks represented as glass in the commander's cupola?
I have this kit and it still remains dormant in its box... "One of these days, Alice!"
Any diorama plans?
Cheers
Brad

Hi Brad,
Thanks for the comments. The vision blocks are simply colored black (used a marker) and prob look glossy, due to the finish of the paint. But should they be glass over them?,
No diorama for the moment, i have yet to reach that side of darkness, but this kit would be an interesting subject, I still have some accessories yet to be added.
Looking forward to yours, when "one of these days" comes about
Cheers!
