Hi Guys

This afternoon I finished building Dragon's Flak 37, Now ready to be primed and painted, I am realy enjoying this project it is one of the most challanging kits I've attempted to date and am pleased with the results so far, Hopfully I won't ruin it when I put the paint on . any and all comments most welcome.

Best wishes,

Jerry

Looks like you did a great job on the kit. I thought about picking one up for my stash but it did seem a bit intimidating. Do you recommend it?
Good luck with the paint job.

Looks really good Jerry, is it totally OOB or have you used an AM etched set for it?

Hey, that looks pretty good. How did you make the shield and things look weathered?

I'm kind of confused as to what washing is?

washing is a general name for the technique where you take paint thinner, mostly terpentine, and add paint to it - then apply this mixture to the entire model (as in; wash the model with the mixture ). Just make sure that the mixture is always tainted tinner, and never thinned paint. there's several types of washes, one of which is called 'pin wash'. this technique is used on the shield i think. it is applied with a small fine pointed brush and only to small details like bolts and seams. use a dark colored mixture to do this, and the paint will crawl around the details making them more visible. it gives an effect as if dirt has crawled around the bolts like you would see in real life too. another type of wash is the 'filter'. you can find enough information on the internet regarding washing. try googling it

back on topic; i love the work you have done with this model! the painting is simple and effective, details come out well and the weathering was done with precision and patience. very nice work!

Guys ,

Thank you for your kind words please you like the work I've do so far.
@ Steven Good discription of the Washes I used !!

@ Randel basicly I sprayed the shield Sand and tank Dark Yellow mix 5:1 then oversprayed light green free hand .

then I put tiny specks of oil paint around the shield Raw Umberand blue on the edges and white and orcre on the centre and then blended it with a brush dampened with turps .

this is the end result of the blend I am quite pleased with

best wishes,

Jerry
