Dear friends,
Newly sprayed 3 tone camo for Tiger I still in the early stages of painting.....was the same tiger as the last post, just updated the colors a fair bit.
a) I was thinking of going over with overspray of dark yellow to make the brown and green less contrasting....any suggestions?
b) Any suggestions which Tiger unit or specific vehicle can I replicate with this camo scheme? (Normandy?)
This is a very rough and fictional camo scheme which I "imagine" based on what I saw on the Academy boxart.
c) Any other comments and constructive ideas are welcome too
Pictures are attached on "my photos"
Thanks

If you want Normandy, you have limited choices. The Army 503rd battalion, second and third companies, had Tiger I's as did the SS 101st battalion, and later the SS 102nd. The secondary colors in most photos don't look very opaque on these vehicles--they seem to have been sprayed with rather a light touch. Panzer Lehr Division had a handful of Tigers configured as radio control vehicles for B IV demolition tankettes, though I don't recall offhand how they were painted.
Some of the units in Russia used bolder cammo--if I remember correctly, the Army 506th used a very heavy bands of color in a disruptive pattern.
