Was there a model in those pictures. My attention was distracted by the posters in your room!

sorry guys..kinda late to pull it out...just to spiced-up things when all you stared at were all grey and green and made of styrene. the wall gave me..sort of an inspiration.

...that there is life out there. anyway..enjoy and thanks for viewing.

was there a desert version of the SAM-6 used by countries like afghanistan or iraq? a walkaround/reference pictures would be nice. thanks again.

Do it in a contest and I'm pretty sure you'll fool the judges even professional ones Nice trick to be awarded a gold medal. I must try it.

Lol, nice posters too. Which brand are they? Back to some more serious stuff,......models

So were did you get the posters from?

Oke, sorry. Late in the evening and I'm bored.

You are doing a great job on yours! It is a real pleasure to build but on mine I had to remove many small seamlines and flash, though they were barely visible they were still there. So what kind of paintscheme are you planning? I did an Egyptian version during the Yom Kippur war with sand/green camouflage. (practicaly the same camouflage as Charlie Pritchet's SA-6 on Tamiya Magazine)

If you need some walkaround pictures send me a PM. I searched the whole internet and have some rare pictures from a friend, so if you're interested

There is a walk around online but I cannot remember the link but you need to go to PMMS and look for the SA-6 review. In that review there is a link to a walkaround.

And if you're interested, here is my build and some in progress photos from the painting stage:
Three fingers of death

So keep us updated!

hi everyone, thanks for the nice words and comments. pin-up posters are of local celebrities and models.

wow..mr.jurjen..your sam-6 looks almost finished. hope to see the final photos of your project. thanks for the reference.

right now..i've primed it and sprayed it with basic paint scheme for the sam-6. from here..making adjustment on standard green or sand can be easily made. the missiles are a big question mark. painting will be difficult due to the lack of reccessed panel lines on it surface.

i like what they did on the pair of ductings mounted on the rear. the metal spring added details to it. but the connecting ends are too weak to hold them.

comments and suggestions are welcome..thanks for viewing.

Hi there,

looking dood already! It was a real challenge to airbrush it due to all the different angels,...argh So what will it be? Green, sand or both?

I'm almost done with mine but I still need to tackle the missiles which is going tough to paint,....

Keep up the good job.

Why did you put camo netting, now we cannot see anything.

Really good looking models (and the Sam 6 as well...)

Seriously, I think you should drop the cam nets. It might be different when wieved "live", but in the pictures the nets totally hides your outstanding work.

hi everyone...the netting is common on SA-6. so i made this with a gauze..soaked it on a dish with used thinner..then placed it on the launchers. when harden it's easy to put and take off the netting. here are some pictures..lots of pictures..

Looks awesome, Ed. I actually kinda like the camo nets - especially if they are removable.

Great job. Maybe you can paint your camo netting in thinned wood or white glue and scatter what we call "Italiaanse (tuin) kruiden", litterly translated "Italian (garden) spices" above it. Then you have more the effect of a modern camo netting.

FYI, the direct translation works - we call that mix "Italian herbs" or "Italian spices" as well - At least in the States (wouldn't know about the Phillipeans...)

hi guys and thanks for the tips. i tried tobacco leaves bits from cigarette and i'm not sure about it. i tried to replicate the strands on the netting but i didn't get a nice result on that. maybe if i press down the leaves on the net it would have been better. thanks for the tips again...i'll try them next time. ed
