Italeri is re-releasing one of my favorite Canadian built trucks. And they are throwing in a little gun for it to tow.
Italeri has announced the re-release of the Canadian built 15 CWT truck, this time including a Breda 20/65. No word on updated moulds, but from looking at the shots of the sprues, they look identical to the kit currently on my work bench, which is the older Italeri kit (ex-Peerless kit). I can tell you, with a little work it builds up to a nice truck.

6505 - 15 CWT truck with Breda 20/65 - 1/35 - 26.00 EUR

The kit should be available now, check with your local retailer or favorite online shop.

Working on the ' Busses always come at once' theory it shouldn't ben too long before the IBG version appears!! Nice to see the 15cwt available again, still like to see a water tanker and a No 11 Cab. Al

After looking up the 15 CWT on wikipedia, I'm not sure which truck this is, 4 x 2 or 4 x 4?

Thanks, Kevin. I line of them on a road somewhere would be cool, if the kits aren't too pricy.

Bill it is the C15A 4X4 (C=Chev, 15=15cwt, A=4 wheel drive) the 4X2 version is just plain C15! This is the old Testers kit. Alan is correct it will be nice to see the IBG offerings when they become available in 1/35 scale especially the 11 & 12 cab versions. Lucky Models have this one listed for pre-orders at $24.99USD

Thanks, Cliff, that's not a bad price (the IBGs will be double here in the States). Appreciate the translation, Mate!

Maple Leaf Models makes frame extension rails to convert the chassis in to any one of the four different frame lengths available for this truck, just have to be patient and wait for JP to re-open the MLM website. Art

These things are also not too hard to find at shows. I don't think I've ever bought one from a store, always second hand and I don't think I've paid more than $10 for any of the four I've got. It's nice enough, thuogh showing it's age. You really do need the Eduard FAT PE set to produce some of the fine detials as the kit parts are pretty chunky. Still a line to 2 or 3 of these with a converted hard top Peerless Bedford kit in the middle of the line would look pretty awesome. Being passed by a Matador GS loaded with Folboats moving up to the bridge at Nijmegan... Didn't I see that in a movie soemwhere??

I bought 2 of these the last time they were re-released and I have a version of the old Airfix release. The only thing to watch out for is that the back axel tends to 'melt' when glued! so my advice is to add a metal rod through the axel at the beginning in case you encounter this problem. Al
