Bronco has sent us images of their new OQF 40mm bofors gun British version that is in the works. The images inside this news report show a test build of the kit and will give you some idea of just what you will get in the box.
Here are the images of the Bronco OQF 40mm bofors (British Version) which show some nice use of photo etched parts and some very good detail that has been used in this product.

I wonder if the length of then gun is correct. Because the length is not what it said as the normal document we can see.

I agree on the QLB. I don't know enough about these guns, but this looks really nice. I'd like to see the AFV one as well, but like many I'm sure I'll buy one of each. Just sayin...

I'm not saying 'I won't buy this because its Bronco' Al, just saying I've had bad experiences with them. As I said, I'll await a comparison so I can buy the best version of this particular bofors, regardless of whose name is on the box Its just nice to have that luxury! usually with british stuff you have a choice of the one single kit available!

Hi Jeremy, IBG have a QLB listed on their long awaited 1/35 scale range. Don't know the quality of their kits but the possibility excites me. Hi Chris, Not a gun expert so like you I'll await the reviews and make a final choice then. It is surreal that we have so many choices now, I keep thinking it is just a dream Bronco have done a crew for the Phesant and a neat crew for their 25pdr so that's good news too. I must get back to the Churchill build, I got diverted by a couple of campaigns and some dio building. Cheers Al

Chris: You need to build one of Bronco's Staghounds then, They are really fun to build and only have a small amount of the unnecessary separate parts. They are quite easy even in 1/48 scale, but I'd still recommend the 1/35 kits. Al: Great! Do we need to light the fire under them or something?

Hi Jeremy, I have one, and their A13. Its not the parts count I mind; its the sharpness of detail. They are a little bit soft, but I hear the buffalo was a big step forward in that regard

I couldn't agree more on the over complicate statement. I'm working on their Pak 36r at the moment and although a really nice looking piece, the breakdown of the many parts just creates unnecessary frustration. Too many parts unfortunately means more filling and sanding (not always good when it comes to artillery kits). I do like this one though but will too wait for a comparison between this and the one coming from AFV Club. Rob

Just in passing and in keeping with the AA theme, what would be especially good would be for someone to bring out a set of ranging equipment, searchlights etc for British/Commonwealth AA guns Al

Would be nice to see a U.S. bofors gun and mount too! Maybe an alternative mount, for field and ship mounted guns. OH, the possabilities----can you see it Al, both of you of course. OR the 90!!!!
