The latest news coming out of MiniArt is a new figure set that have been labeled special edition, and I must say a real interesting subject.
MiniArt has announced Soviet Naval Troops as their next figure release. It looks to be a very interesting subject which will include new infantry weapons and equipment. The kit will include five figures and is listed as a Special Edition.

35094 – Soviet Naval Troops

Also as a reminder the following previously announced kits are now available.

35152 – AEC Mk.I Armoured Car
35157 – Hungarian Tank Crew
35515 – Ardennes Building

are those the plastic figures painted???? or are those resin masters for the plastic? I know MiniArt tends to use Tank figures for some of thier poses in past sets. look great though!

You could use them for anything having to do with Stalingrad................Lots of Soviet Naval personnel fought in Stalingrad.

By the way, I believe these are old Tank discontinued resin figures now reissued by MA in plastic.

These are the old - but excellent - figures from kit #35043. The painted figures at the photos are those old figures, painted by a great modeler, Vladimir Demchenko (http://en.diorama.ru/workshop/reviews/150/)

Hi As has already been mentioned, these are old figures being reissued with the addtion of new moulded weapons etc. The only connection between the Miniart injection moulded figures and the Tank resin figures are they are created (masters) by the same talented sculptor, hence the very similar look. Miniart have always shown examples of their figures painted up on their web site and the image here seems to show the one they've always had on their site relating to the old set, again nothing to do with Tank figures. Thats the great thing with figures ... you dont have to set them anywhere. If you like them, just paint them and present them as MiniArt have done or on very basic groundwork. A simple dock/harbor scene would also be great to put them in a suitable environment ... much like Italeri dock modules.

Hmmmmmm I think these would work very well with the NKL-27 Speedboat that is currently on the way to me from the Ukraine. @ Frank... That Dock idea is quite a good one... Might have to dive into the water again.

Miniart just keeps upping the bar again and again. I may be wrong but I think the Soviets used Naval troops in the Black Sea when they cut off the Germans in the Crimea? Kuban peninsula? Something like that? Plus Leningrad? Siege therof? J

Yes yes I think they would work very well with the Speedboat.
