MiniArt has informed Armorama that their latest set titled French Civilians of the 1930’s and 40’s.
This latest figure set from MiniArt will be hitting the stores soon and I suspect being Civilians that they will sell well and fast. The beauty of a set like this is that they can be used in such a wide number of settings. The diorama and vignette modellers out there will I suspect be especially pleased with this set finally hitting the stores. The French Civilian figures in this set cover a nice range with a priest, elderly male, police officer, a baker, and what I believe is a business man.

Great set... The funny thing is the priest is looking very alike a famous French actor called Fernandel Who played several movies as don camillo in the mid 50 (see LINK . Also the nickname of the police Man at that time was Hirondelle (swallow) as their splitted cape looked like the wings of the bird. Mini art is very good at making original and very competitive figures set... So bravo and Encore. merci !

This is an excellent set of figures! Lots of diorama/vignette possibilities. Also the old man waving is based on the one waving a US flag in a well known photograh. A must have!

Ohlala, Daren, Merci! Nice review of, apparently, another winner from MiniArt. They know how to fill my stash. And, 'oui, a second female set would be magnifique. Merci encore for informing us

The kit is no more listed on Miniart website. Is it deleted?

Certainly hope not!! It was anounced ages ago...and now it would not be issued... Except for Fernandel they are really promising and interesting for my pal Leo's projects. And yes, a "female set" would be very welcome, if they are western Europe and fairly neutral (i.e. not too rural and not too "Paris" ) Cheers Romain

Master Box has a set of just that! A group of women in '40's clothing, and a young girl. MiniArt's set of German civilians has an old woman as well as a younger one.

MiniArt has the French civilian figures listed in the Minature Series with the Tram . So no need to panic
