Riich Models have sent us new of a HF.7 Stahlwagen or for those who are looking blank a German Steel Frame Cart.
This upcoming release from Riich Models will also have 2 figures in the mix, something that I consider a must for models of this type. A quick look at the sprues for the figures indicates some really nice detail such as the tread on the sole of the boots. Another good inclusion for the figures is that Riich Models has included rank and badges for them. The horses look good in the sprue shots and I like the photo etched tack and chain included for hitching the horses to the carriage. This offering looks very much like a diorama in a box.

This just arrived at my local hobby shop! Looks fantastic. But again, as I said before the kit is kinda pricy. I wish they would offer an alternative model boxed without the horses and figures to save a bit of money. I want to use the kit as a towed trailer anyway and not as a horse drawn wagon. Cry'n in my beer . . .

You're welcome guys Here's another thread with even more period pics : http://odkrywca.pl/heeresfahrzeug-7-hf-7-,672192.html like this one (showing a captured STZ-5 tractor ): H.P.

Gents, horsepower for the Wehrmacht often meant hay-munchers. Y'all surely remember the line from "Band of Brothers" about going up against General Motors? I'm sure Frenchy can post the photo, but I have one someone on my computer of a battery of 15 cm sFH 18 guns that are evenly divided between prime mover-drawn and horse-drawn. Hallelujah for the horseys. UPDATE: here's the photo--

Whatever! It's still an improvement! [/quote] ******** Indeed..in fact the Italeri release is a rebox of the ancient ESCI release which was originally TWO carts, four horses and four figures. Italeri dutifully released just on wagon at double the price

Wow man, that is one of the best threads I've seen about any subject. I can'tbelieve in this day and age that they are still pulling artifacts out of the woods like that!! Holy cow. Now...if there was only a thread like this one covering the LFHbz18/40 and its' limber!! The steel wagon was BTW called the "horse killer" by the Landser because of its' excessive weight. J

Too bad you're not looking for stuff about the earlier "98" limber : http://www.lovettartillery.com/10.5cm_leichte_Feld_Haubitze_Limber.html H.P.

I don't think it has been covered here so far; Since I now have this kit in my grubby little paws I can confirm that the towing tongue for use with motorized vehicles IS included in this kit!
