From some pre-order notifications seen it looks like Academy is about to release a Russian T-34/85.
Academy seems to be about to release a new T-34/85 in 1/35 scale. The new kit will be the T-34/85 Factory 112 variant, and looks to include photo-etched details. Based on the pre-orders seen around the Internet, this new kit from Academy looks like it will be available in February 2015.

There are more pictures on MMZ, along with the new late Tiger: LINK Academy certainly are busy at the moment!

Looks half decent but why can't Academy do clear parts for the lights and various periscopes? Plus pre-drilled machine guns barrels. These things should be standard now.

And maybe not copy from another manufacture.

Welcome to the 21st century Greg. Academy is quite some time busy producing their own kits... Quite interresting subjects... and qualitywise not as bad as you think. What I would be interrested in: Has this kit the pressed solid wheels, the full spider or both? In the link above are the solid ones shown, in the link posted by someone else were the spiders shown... As the turret with the split ventilators is included aswell, the spiders would have been an extra option for the post-war use of the T-34...

Fabian, as I mentioned at the top. Go to the "T-34 Interest group" on Facebook. You will see what I mean.

Academy's publicity department has goofed. They have released photos of the wrong wheels and upper hull parts in their initial press releases. More recent publicity shows the correct solid disk wheels (so apparently Academy also plans a Factory 183 version as well, as that type used the "spiderweb" wheels).

It's good they've shown dish type road wheels, but their outermost halves should have nuts, not bolts. If only someone could contact Academy on that issue. After all, it is not that difficult to drill holes even in the already completed mould.
