Question: What are the dimensions and specs of this kit: Length, width, height, weight, and number of parts?
OCT 05, 2006 - 02:07 AM
Just a short update, I received this morning the kit MiG very generously offered along with a few extras. Overall I'm quite impressed with the kit. The only thing I would change would be the headlights which are moulded solid in resin and I think I'll scratchbuild some new transparent ones. Otherwise a superb model! Would Armorama be interested in a full review of the kit? In box review first with construction following shortly afterwards. Cheers, Christophe

I got the kit the other day aswell. I was amazed to see it in my local toymaster which normally takes ages to get anything good in. The kit is fantastic but as you say Christophe the moulded in headlights are a bit of a bummer. Also the front bumber doesnt fir too great without a bit of heating and bending, you will also need some filler! The rest of the model is simply fantastic and it looks really cool. The best bit of this model should be all the interesting paint jobs and weathering. I also got the new: MIG Arab tankers-They are really great aswell and are very useful. The sculpting is fantastic and the poses are spot on, my favorite is the guy in overalls as the pose there is superb. MIG Jersey Barriers-These are ideal for OIF dioramas and should paint up very well. The moulding is excellent and all feature a perfect scale texture. Modern traffic cones-Not bad but not good. Basically just cones. Its a shame they didnt bother to creat the plastic bases seen on pretty much all these cones. Without the square base these dont look particulaly great as modern cones, you will definately need to scratch build this bit. Should paint up nicerly and ideal for modern dios. Hope this info is useful to you all.

Hey, Mig... Since you say you want to continue with the Arab figures, I just want to say that not all Arabs are on the "bad" side. So, how about some Iraqi army soldiers, or iraqi policemen which would fit very nicely in any diorama along with American soldiers. Keep up the good work. I love your "non-mainstream" stuff. Regards Hisham

This is the truck my nephew saw just about 90% of the SF guys driving, and wants me to get one. Maybe, after my wallet gets thicker after the last load from DML, the Mig...etc........It looks like a fun model. I was just on the Mig site, and there is a burnt out civilian car listed as new. Now, they just need to do the one after an M1064A3 drove over the trunk.

Dear Hisham I don't think that all arab soldiers are in the bad side. In fact, I love all arab subjects (bad sides and good sides), but I am not who decided who is good or bad. I only like the subjects, the figures, tanks, history....and it is my favorite subject. The Egyptian army is my greta, great favorite matter in my life, but I have really few info about. About iraqui-US army, One of our next releasses will be a M1114 in Iraqui army!!! All the best MIG

MIG if you wan ti can help you with the Iraqi HMMWV as i helped train some of their forces in my last tour to Iraq, they used the 1025's with ASK kits installed, we didnt give them any 1114's at least in the mosul and al-quarrah area zach

Hi Mig You have given us moderna armor builders some really great stuff this year. Hi-Lux, the Arabic tankers etc. and, of course the very nice B-11 RR. Now, speaking of support weapons, how about one of the 14,5mm ZPU AA guns. I would vote for the two barrel ZPU-2, but I'll guess the one, three, or four barrel versions would do to. I would love to have one to put in the cargo bay of your long version Land Cruiser. (Of course the ZU-23 would also be nice...) I guess you get a lot of wishes from us modelers, and of course you can't please everyone, but I just had to give my 2 cents. Thx again for all the great stuff and keep up the good work! /E (sucker for heavy MG's/light AA guns)
