I thought the T49 used torsion bars in virtue of being a re-turreted M41
No I was talking about the experimental tank destroyer the 57mm GMC T49 and the 75mm GMC T67. They were the precursors to the 76mm GMC T70 which was the experimental designation of the resulting M18 Hellcat. I thought these two tanks used torsion bar but they are coiled spring. The T49 you're thinking of is the precursor to the M41 Walker Bulldog? Well, either way THAT T49 has torsion bar suspension.
Just to clarify a bit: To paraphrase the entries in the book "SEARCHING FOR PERFECTION, An Encyclopedia of U.S. Army T-Series Vehicle Development, 1925-1985, By David R. Haugh, published by PORTRAYAL PRESS- The first T49 was a design study only, meant to study the feasibility of the Christie-designed Chassis, designated officially as: Carriage, Motor, 37mm Gun, T49 Next came the up-gunned version, built on a Torsion Bar-type Chassis developed by Buick, mounting a 57mm Gun. Two soft steel vehicles were built, designated officially as: Carriage, Motor, 57mm Gun, T49 The last T49 was a Post War design, developed from the T41E1 Light Tank, circa 1955. This vehicle had a newer, higher Turret, in which the T132 smooth-bored low-pressure 90mm Gun was tested along with a T41 Range Finder apparatus. This vehicle was officially designated: Tank, 90mm Gun, T49 This vehicle too, went by the wayside, as the more feasible Test/Development Program of the Tank, Medium, 90mm Gun, T48 and subsequent developments, Tank, Medium, 90mm Gun, T48E1, and E2 were eventually adopted by the Army and US Marine Corps as the M48A1 thru A5 Medium Tank-series that we are all more familiar with... I strongly recommend this reference book to modellers who are interested in American Military Vehicles developed during the period between 1925 and 1985. The great majority of entries in this book also feature a photo to put a face on these little-known developmental vehicles. Both Armored and Soft-skinned vehicles are covered in this book...

I think it'll be gyrating fluegpanzsprechtslöausfbüld
Or an Sd.Kfz.3007-and-a-half Ausf.Z "SCHEISSEWERFER"!

I also have R.P. Hunnicutt's Stuart... The T49 I'm talking about, this: used Christie suspension. Coil springs suspension Hunnicutt calls it I believe. If you look at certain pictures of the tanks you will see vertical Springs coming off the road wheels. Also, the predecessor of the T49 was the T42 37mm GMC, which also used Christie suspension. After the T49 came the 75mm GMC T67 which used the same hull and suspension but a rounded open-top turret and the M3 75mm gun.

I wouldn't think that MINIART would do an M1IP, only because they tend to stick to WWII subject matter. Still, you never know...

Yes... That it is... And this is the T67. Same chassis with a rounded turret and 75MM Gunn.. Although I am getting the distinct impression that we are discussing the exact same topic on the same side of things...
