In this, the third report on Miniart's release plans for 2007, the attention turns to their AFV/Vehicle kits - included amongst tehm are no less than THREE subjects which have never been attempted in plastic
Although, compared to other companies, MiniArt is a relatively small manufacturer, that can mean that they have two important advantages. Firstly, although they are under the same financial pressures as any other company, they can demonstrate more 'flexibility' in subjects than bigger concens. Secondly, again related to their size, it's easier for them to listen (and importantly, HEAR) to the 'wants' of modellers. Their plans for buildings and figures for 2007 have shown real imagination and thought - no less so than their Vehicle releases for 2007...
MiniArt 1/35th Scale Vehicle Release Program 2007
35036 - SOVIET SU-76M w/CREW
35038 - SOVIET T-80 LIGHT TANK w/CREW
35039 - GERMAN ARTILLERY TRACTOR T-70(r) & 7,62cm FK 288(r) w/CREW
35045 - SOVIET GUN ZiS-3 with HORSES
35048 - SOVIET JEEP CREW w/BANTAM 40 BRC
35050 - BRITISH BANTAM w/CREW
35052 - SOVIET ARTILLERY TRACTOR YA-12
The 'star' of the show, and I make no apologies for saying it, is undoubtedly the YA-12. No less significant however, is the use of the T-70 chassis to make a wide range of variants of a VERY widely-used vehicle. The Bantam has long been needed as a plastic kit as has a modern version of the SU-76. Some VERY interesting times ahead!
My thanks to the people at MiniArt for their help in compiling this report...
