AK-Interactive has announced a new product for extra smooth, glossy finish. It is available in two grades, Glass Coat and Intermediate.
Glass Coat Gauzy Agent is a product developed to enhance, repair, and achieve extremely realistic, transparent, glass-like smooth finishes on clear plastic parts. When applied to clear plastic, will result in a realistic glass-like smooth appearance on parts like clear plastic cockpit canopies or other clear parts.

The Intermediate Gauzy Agent, or shine enhancer, creates a protective and very realistic glossy sheen on areas where applied. This product also serves as a protective layer for the paint underneath. Apply it the way you would with any varnish and let dry for a few minutes. It can also serve as a smooth finishing touch for metallic paints and others.

News for May are announced on their website as A brand new FUTURE, if that gives a clue

If this is a new type of 'Future' then its very welcome because I've had really mixed results with the current type of Future- the hazy, lemon scented Pledge Floor Care stuff. Sometimes it works on canopies and clear parts like it used to- other times it recedes into bits on the clear parts and leaves a splotchy, partly glossed finish that pretty much ruins the look of the part and obviously, its not effective if it doesn't coat the whole thing.

I hope they realize that "gauzy" has a completely different meaning in English than "glossy". Almost opposites.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. I have heard of cars introduced to foreign markets being given names with unintended meanings that killed sales. Hopefully, the modeling community is more forgiving.

Mitsubishi "Pajero" is "Montero" in Spanish speaking countries by an obvius reason you will find easily with an online translator...

They are stating by the use of the term "Gauzy" that the product is translucent, transparent, see thru etc. as per the English dictionary. Cheers, Joe

@FJCabeza: Hahahaha! I owned a Pajero for many years when I lived in Japan, and my brother-in-law from Malaga never said anything when he came to visit! I had no idea until now!!! @Joe: Yes, not technically incorrect, but to a native English speaker it tends to means something that is not quite clear. That said, I've spent enough time in cultures other than my own to know better than to fault them for not speaking my language as well as me. I nevertheless appreciate the humor.
