The SU-122 (Samokhodnaya Ustanovka 122) was a Soviet self-propelled howitzer employed during the Second World War. The "122" designation stands for the 122 mm M-30S howitzer, its main armament. It is based on the T-34 chassis, and was deployed to support infantry, destroy fortifications, guns emplacements, and in some occasions against tanks.
