A recent release, Trumpeter gives us a peek of what is inside the box of its M915 truck and trailer kit.
The M915 was based on the Centaur commercial truck series of the Crane Carrier Company. With minimum modifications to suit military specifications, AM General, as licensee, produced the M915 and started deliveries to the US Army by 1978. The M915 was the baseline model for the series of heavy military trucks having various chassis configurations. The M915 Line Haul Tractor (LHT) is deployed primarily for long distance container transport and typically tows the M872 trailer.

Trumpeter’s M915 Tractor with M872 Flatbed Trailer & 40FT Container (01015) features:
  • detailed multi-directional slide-molded cab
  • full drive train assembly complete with engine transmission
  • differential housing and suspension units
Kit 01015 contains more than 500 parts spread over 15 sprues. Also included are photo-etched details, clear parts, and rubber tires with a detailed tread pattern. When built, the finished model’s dimensions are 489.1mm in length and 94.3mm in width.

Background information on the vehicle sourced from Military-Today.com.

That's really gonna take up a lot of shelf space! Got two HEMTTs and two Mk23s already overloading the display shelves. Perhaps they will make the tractor available separately. Just say'n.

Me too! I've been harassing Trumpeter, but they do not acknowledge my posts. Any guesses as to price on this one? I'm thinking the $130 range.
