Not to be confused with the modern prototype tank of the same name, this WWII-era tank design is the subject of the latest OKB Grigorov kit.
Conceptualized by Atelier d'Issy-les-Moulineaux in 1940, the AMX 40 was intended to succeed the Somua S-35 and the S-40. Its design featured a well-rounded hull and turret, torsion-arm system suspension with four 82cm road wheels, and a 47mm gun as its main armament. The AMX 40 did not go into production.
OKB Grigorov’s French Light Tank AMX-40 (V72058) is a resin kit containing 46 parts as well as photo-etched details.
