After a long line of T-62 releases, Trumpeter comes up with yet another one, this time in 1/72 scale.
The T-62 was developed based on the T-55. It featured the same layout with enhancements on firepower and protection. The T-62 mounted a fully-stabilized semi-automatic 115mm smoothbore gun, a first at that time. Complementing the main gun is a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun and a 12.7mm roof-mounted machine gun. The tank has a crew of four -- commander, gunner, loader and driver. It is estimated that more than 22,000 units were built.
Russian T-62 Main Battle Tank Mod.1962 (07146). The kit contains more than 40 parts. It builds a model that is 139mm long and 48.9mm wide.
