The third edition of the renowned FAQ series is ready to preorder, with new modelling techniques.
This new Super-Book, like its predecessors in this same series of technical manuals called “FAQ”, is dedicated to modeling military vehicles and the techniques used for assembly, painting and weathering.
The difference with the previous book is that they have moved on in the timeframe and this book is a complement of the previous ones. It also explains some new techniques that have appeared these last years, mainly to use in modern vehicles but that can be also used in vehicles of all eras.

The materials that make up modern vehicles and weapons have changed considerably since World War II. Materials that were out of the question on a technological and industrial level back then are now commonplace. The use of these new materials and the manufacturing and assembly methods reflect on the way we paint and weather these models; they require a different approach. FAQ 3 helps facing these challenges.

This new book is on preorder, at a discounted price, directly from AK Interactive website

If you don't want to pay for the shipping across the Atlantic, you can buy it from Stevens International Distributors. Enjoy the book, trust me it's worth every dollar. Cheers

While I don't disagree I'll have to go with John on this one as, being in Canada, I get to pay roughly thirty percent on top of that for the same book. For that price I expect house calls. And an autographed book.

That particular vendor is a distributor who does not discount to us "commoners" in the USA. I would end up paying full retail and at least another $7-$10 shipping.

Sure it’s looks promising, but I’m just wondering who’s the master mind behind this book?

I'm interested in this but as mentioned, with shipping its the same price as my local hobby shop will sell it for, so I'll hold off until they get them in. I am glad to see them continuing the series.

We have it at the store, we got it from Stevens...retail $119.95 Pulled a copy off the shelf and looked through it, very nicely done. But even with my employee discount it went back on the shelf at that price. If you can afford it or get a great deal, definitely get it; if you want it, get it because it really is a beautiful book.
