The last few months have seen a fair bit of uncertainty over the future of Tristar. Now though, all the rumors and speculation can be laid to rest with good news about the company's return.
Yesterday, I got this e-mail from the company about not only their return to production, but also part of their future Release Program:
To: All Tristar Friends
From: Michael Yuen
22nd June 2009
You may have received recent announcement letter from Pat detailing the new arrangements for Tristar especially the plans for expansion. I am now responsible for looking after Tristar’s sales and marketing. We have moved to a larger and permanent office. Please update your records
as follows:
Tristar Model Ltd
Unit 2403, Lucida Industrial Building
43-47 Wang Lung Street
Tsuen Wan, N. T.
Hong Kong
Now, part of this Release Program will be the Sd.Kfz.222 (Ausf. B) which Pat McGrath covered for this Site, back in November.
Additionally, Paul Owen, of Tracklink, passed me on photos of the model - my thanks to him!
Apart from the Sd.Kfz 222, Tristar will also be releasing 35042 1/35 WW II British Paratroopers with Welbikes. The link to the original story can be seen:

Both models will be released in Fall 2009.
