We have reached a commercial milestone in the past week. Namely in we have sold out of all our primary banner ad spaces on Armorama (which includes our network-wide banner ads that show across all sites). We do still have some text ad spots available however.
This milestone is important to us because even in this time of world-wide economic downturn, advertisers have come to us because our sites and our visitors are providing them the cost-effective ads they need to compete in today's rapidly changing marketplace. We would like to thank all of our site users and volunteer staff on the great job they have done in getting all our sites to the place they are now. Some still have a long road ahead, but we know that with this success we can do even more.

We will be working on some new features in the coming months to upgrade our photo hosting and other member services. This will be tied into an option to subscribe and get enhanced photo uploading and other perks. This has been a long-planned for upgrade and thankfully our developer, Jim Starkweather, will have the time needed to do these enhancements. If there is something you would like to see that we currently don't offer or support, please let us know via the forums. And stay tuned to hear more about these new features in the months ahead.

Thanks again,
KitMaker Management

That are really good news. The very first thing what the companies usually do during a recession is to reduce their budget for advertisement. That's why in particular (print) magazines suffer that much under these econmical circumstances that many of them disappear from the screen.

Congratulations! The continued success of this venture is important to both the readers and the manufacturers/retailers whose ad $$$ support it.

Jim, real good news. This site has been of great service to many people including friends of mine that don't model. They come over and ask if there is anything cool on the site to see, which I turn on the computer and let them check it out. That is so cool, I couldn't ever do anything like that are most of thier replys. It's a great site which allows us the oppertunity to talk shop around the world and enjoy others work which normaly we would not be able to. I hope that armorama stays as vibrant as it is and a long and healthy life. Thanks to you and all who made this a possobility.
