WiP from NATO in Miniatures - Modern Bundeswehr Tankers

Dmitri Baev from NATO in Miniatures shares WiP pictures of their latest 1/35 scale figure set with KitMaker Network readers.

The new set is sculpted by Michael Varlamov and depicts Bundeswehr soldiers reloading the tank... a very useful set for modelers building 1/35 scale modern German AFVs. Again, the idea behind publishing these photos is to get the response from modelers... let us know what you think about these figures, tell us if anything needs improving... and remember, NATO in Miniatures is listening to your feedback!

Hi all, this WIP looks excellent. Will be good on every Bundeswehr tank diorama. Good idea about the third tanker... Hans-Hermann can you provide some links for coveralls Bundeswehr tankers wear? The boots also look interesting. Mario

Completely unexpected and very nicely posed. It's nice to have figures that are good for motorpool/firing range or a combat operation setting. I wonder if there would be interest in a figure boresighting the main gun. Paul

Yes, for sure a figure boresighting the main gun would be a great addition to a range diorama/vignette! A couple of more figures to complete the loading process to show another figure on the turret passing a round to a figure in the loader's hatch would be great.

Nice figues but I think it's not accurate that the overall is weared in the boots. I only know them weared over the boots and we did it also like this. I never saw someone who wears the Panzerkombi like the person on the picture from Mario. Regards Tobias

Hi Tobias, the regulations of wearings coveralls in or over the boots are somehow weak. I found a picture in the chronicle of Panzerbataillon 363, on which two crew-members wear the coverall over the boots while the other two tugged into the boots. The picture above was taken on a "fashionshow" at Panzerbataillon 104 in Pfreimd. Hans-Hermann

Very interesting figures. And being in "Panzerkombi" by just painting them "gelb-oliv" they can be used for the cold war just as well. More of those please (Figures without Protective vests etc)
