Hi Darren, thanks for getting this one up. I ordered up the WASP and Medical supplies, couldn't resist . The WASP looks interesting and adds another carrier to build. I think the medical boxes and stratchers will be really useful (just need some medics hint, hint). I shall have to add the fail to the list, alwasy wanted one of those and a dozer. The BEF chaps look cool, I hope we see a few more of those too. Al

Hi Alfred, Nice set, got mine last week. Anyone know what type of rifle the Belgian Soldier is carrying? Al
JUN 03, 2011 - 06:04 AM
Hopefully it is a either and MLE35 or an MLE89/36 both of which are Belgian made mauser variants. I say this because "minor" and some major countries seem to get the short end of the stick with their rifles. For example, I still have yet to see French infantry with correct WW2 era MAS36 rifles (they are always depicted with the post war alterations) even those made by manufacturers who should know better.

Hi Matt, Latest info tells me it's a Mauser model 1889 manufactured by FN (Fabrique National). These were issued to conscripts in 1939. Thanks Gerard. Al
